    Using a Google Account:

NOTE: You can use your Google account to sync the contacts stored on the Galaxy SIII, and then re-sync the account data (including contacts) with the HTC Desire 520.

    1. If necessary, sign in with your Google account on the Galaxy SIII
    2. Press “Menu” on the home screen
    3. Go to “Settings”
    4. Tap “My Accounts” and select “Google”
    5. Tap your "user name” or “email address”
    6. Enable ”Sync Contacts”
    7. Tap “Sync now”
    8. Switch to the Desire 520 and register the same Google account. Then, allow the account to sync contacts with your phone

Using the “Contacts” / “People” Apps:

NOTE: Using the default Contacts / People applications you can export and import the contacts from the Galaxy SIII to the Desire 520.

    1. Open the “Contacts” app on the SGSIII
    2. From the “Contacts” tab, tap “Menu”
    3. If necessary, tap “Contacts to display” and switch to “All contacts”
    4. Press “Menu” > “Import / Export”
    5. Tap “Export to SD card” (make sure you remember the vCard file’s name for future use on the Desire 520)
    6. Tap “OK” to confirm
    7. Launch the email client and create a new email containing the vCard file as an attachment
    8. Send the email to your own address
    9. Switch to the Desire 520, open the email, and download the attached file
    10. Launch the “People” application. Tap “Menu” > “Manage contacts” > “Import / Export” > “Import from SD card” and import the file to your phonebook

NOTE: After you create the backup file on the Galaxy SIII, you can transfer it to the Desire 520 by connecting both smartphones to your computer via USB, and copy > pasting the file from one phone storage to the other.

    Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: You can also use third party applications designed for contact transfer. Send Anywhere is an app that uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other file types across phones / platforms.

    1. Visit the Google Play Store and install “Send Anywhere” on both your Android devices
    2. Open the application on both smartphones
    3. Tap “Send” on the Galaxy SIII, and tap “Contacts”
    4. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
    5. Select the desired transfer method. You can tap “Generate QR Code” on the SIII and scan the code with the Desire 520’s camera to begin the process. Alternatively tap “Receive” on the Desire, and manually enter the transfer code generated on the SGSIII
