    Back Up Data to Google Drive:

    1. Drag the “Status” bar down from the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “Backup account”
    4. Tap “HTC Account” and sign in with your account
    5. Tap “Google Drive” > “OK” in the “Cloud Storage” menu
    6. To gain access to Google Drive, sign in with your Google account
    7. Optionally, enable “Automatic backup”, and tap “Back up now” to back up data manually

    NOTE: You can set your phone to create daily backups over Wi-Fi, by going to “Settings” and enabling “Backup phone daily over Wi-Fi”.

    Restore Data from Google Drive:

    1. Sign in with your backup account (or tap “Restore from HTC Backup” after a factory reset)
    2. Go to the history screen and select the backup you want to restore
    3. Tap “Next”
    4. Sign in with your Google account if necessary
    5. Allow HTC Backup to connect to Google Drive
    6. Tap “Next” to restore the files

    Back Up & Restore Data Locally

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Launch the “Phone” application
    2. Access the “People” tab
    3. Press “Menu” > “Manage contacts”
    4. Tap “Import / Export contacts”
    5. Tap “Export to SD card”
    6. Select “Export to SD card” or “Export to phone storage”
    7. Select an account to back up data on it
    8. Tap “Yes” to set a backup password
    9. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Press “Menu” > “Manage Contacts”
    3. Tap “Import / Export contacts”
    4. Select “Import from phone storage” or “SD card”
    5. Select an account if necessary, and choose the backup file
    6. Tap “OK”
    7. If the file is protected by a password, enter it and tap “OK”

    Back Up Messages:

    1. Launch “Messages”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Backup / Restore SMS”
    3. Tap “Back up” > “Back up SMS”
    4. Set a password for the backup file, if desire
    5. Enter a name for the backup file
    6. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Back Up Text Messages via Email:

    1. Open “Messages”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Back up / Restore SMS”
    3. Tap “Back up” > “Back up SMS via email”
    4. Optionally, set a password for the backup file
    5. Make sure the email contains the attached backup file and send it to your own address

    NOTE: You can easily restore messages by downloading the attached file, and importing its contents via “Messages”

    Back Up and Restore Tasks:

    1. Open “Tasks”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
    3. Tap “Export to SD card”
    4. To restore tasks, open “Tasks” and press “menu”
    5. Tap “Import / Export” > “Import from SD card”
    6. Select the backup file and follow the on-screen steps to complete the restore

    Back Up & Restore Your Dictionary:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “Language & Keyboard”
    3. Tap “HTC Sense Input” > “Personal dictionary”
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Back up to storage” > “Back up to email” > “OK”
    5. To restore your dictionary, go to “Languages & keyboard” and tap “HTC Sense Input”
    6. Tap “Personal dictionary” > “Menu” > “Restore from storage”
    7. Select the file and tap “OK”
