    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “User and Backup” and tap “Backup and reset”
    4. To back up account data, sign in with your Google account, if necessary. (Tap “Backup account” > “Add account”)
    5. Turn on “Backup my data” and “Backup account”

    Back Up Contacts Using a Google or Samsung Account:

    1. Open “Contacts” and tap “more”
    2. Tap “Settings” > “Move device contacts to”
    3. If necessary, select a Google or Samsung account
    4. Return to the home screen and open the phone’s “Settings” menu
    5. Tap “Accounts” and select an account to sync contacts with
    6. Tap “More” > “Sync now”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Galaxy On5 to your PC via USB
    2. If necessary, swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
    3. Launch an Explorer window on the PC and locate the media files on your phone
    4. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
    5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it from the USB connector

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and follow the on-screen instructions to install Kies
    4. Connect the Galaxy On5 to your Mac via USB
    5. Make sure the connection is set to “Media device (MTP)”
    6. Open Kies on the Mac and click “Back up / restore” > “Backup”
    7. Check the boxes next to “Photos”, “Music” and other types of media files you may want to back up
    8. Click “Backup” and wait for the process to complete
    9. Once the transfer is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive into “Eject / Trash can”
    10. Disconnect the phone from the USB connector
