    Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Battery saver”
    5. Tap the switch and set it to “ON”

    Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth:

    NOTE: To improve battery life in the long run, you can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not in use, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Hotspot and GPS.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Tap “Wi-Fi” and turn off the option. Do the same with “Bluetooth”
    4. Tap “More” under “Wireless and networks”
    5. Tap “Tethering & mobile hotspot”
    6. Tap to disable “Portable Wi-Fi hotspot”
    7. Return to “Settings”
    8. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Location”
    9. Tap the switch to set hotspot “OFF”, or tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving”

    Adjust the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Display” > “Brightness level”
    3. Disable “Automatic brightness” if necessary
    4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left and tap “OK”
    5. From the “Display” menu, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

    Turn Off Background Data:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Data usage” > “Menu”
    3. Turn on “Restrict app background data”

    Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

    NOTE: Some third party applications can affect your phone’s battery life even if you don’t use them – assuming that the apps perform regular background processes. As such, you might be able to improve battery life in the long run by disabling or removing unused third party apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Apps”
    3. Swipe to “Downloaded” and select the desired app
    4. Tap “Disable” to turn off the app
    5. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK” to completely remove the app from the phone

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can improve battery life in the long run by setting your phone / accounts to sync less data.

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts”
    3. Select an account
    4. Disable the desired sync settings
    5. When done, tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    Switch from 4G to 2G Connectivity:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Under “Wireless & Networks”, tap “More”
    3. Tap “Cellular networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Tap “2G only”
