    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings” and swipe to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” and turn on “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and settings to your Google account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to restore app data automatically upon re-installing apps

NOTE: Applications will also be automatically restored upon signing in with your Google account for the first time on a new device, or after a factory reset.

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Swipe to “Accounts” and select an account to sync contacts with
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

NOTE: Contacts will be automatically restored upon signing in with your Google account; either on a new phone or after a factory reset.

    3. On the PC, open an Explorer window
    4. Navigate to the phone storage and copy the desired media files

    5. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

Turn Android Anti-Theft On or Off:

NOTE: With Anti-Theft enabled, your phone will require a password even when attempting to factory reset it from Recovery. It’s a security measure created to prevent unwanted access to your personal data upon misplacing / losing your phone.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings” and tap “Security”
    3. Tap “Mobile anti-theft”
    4. In case this is the first time using Anti-Theft, set a PIN and tap “Next”
    5. Select a contact to use as an Emergency contact
    6. Tap “Next” > “Done”

NOTE: To disable Mobile Anti-Theft, follow the steps above and tap “Turn off mobile Anti-Theft”
