Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy A7 and computer
    2. On the phone, drag the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)” if necessary
    3. Open an Explorer window on the computer
    4. Locate the desired audio files on your PC’s hard drive
    5. Copy the files and paste them on the phone storage, in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” directories
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac, you should skip the first 3 steps below.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on your Mac
    2. Visit Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac”, then install Kies on the Mac once downloaded
    4. Connect the Galaxy A7 to your Mac via USB, and make sure it’s connected as “Media device (MTP)
    5. Launch Kies on the Mac
    6. In Kies, click the “Folder” icon next to “External memory” or “Internal memory
    7. Launch a file explorer on the Mac and locate the audio files you want to use as ringtones / notifications on your phone
    8. Drag the files and drop them inside Kies
    9. Once the transfer is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive into the “Trash can” icon to eject it, and safely disconnect the device from the USB

    Change the Phone Ringtone:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Sound and Display
    3. Tap “Sounds and notifications
    4. Tap “Ringtones” and choose the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Change the Notification Sound:

    1. Go to the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Sound and Display
    3. Tap “Sounds and notifications” and then tap “Notifications
    4. Select the desired sound and tap “OK
