    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

Disable Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Hotspot:

NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity features when they are not in use, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “Notification” bar down
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth”, “Wi-Fi”, and “Location” to disable these features
    3. Go to “Settings” and tap “Location” to access more GPS settings
    4. Tap “Mode” > “Battery saving”
    5. To turn off Hotspot, return to the “Settings” menu
    6. Then, tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Tap the switch to disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Display”
    3. If necessary, tap to turn off “Adaptive brightness”
    4. Tap “Brightness level” and drag the brightness slider to the left
    5. Return to the “Display” menu and tap “Sleep”
    6. Select a lower timeout duration, like “15 seconds”

Minimize the Use of a Third Party App:

NOTE: Some third party applications can have a negative effect on your phone’s battery life even if you don’t use them – assuming that the apps perform regular background processes. As such, you might be able to improve battery life by disabling or removing unused third party applications.

    1. Go to the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Apps”
    3. Access the “Downloaded” section
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Force stop” / “Disable”
    5. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Switch from 4G to 2G:

    1. Go to the “Settings” screen
    2. Under “Wireless & networks”, tap “More”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Tap to enable “2G”
