    Back Up Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal
    4. To back up Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and Settings to your Google account, enable “Back up my data
    5. To allow your account to restore app data automatically upon reinstallation, enable “Automatic restore

    NOTE: App data backed up using the method above will also be automatically restored upon signing in with your Google account for the first time or after a factory reset.

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings” and tap “Accounts
    2. Select the account you want to use for syncing your contacts
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now

    NOTE: The contacts backed up using this method will be automatically restored upon signing in with your Google backup account for the first time on the phone, or after a factory reset.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Acer Liquid Z530 and computer
    2. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure "Media sync (MTP)” is enabled
    3. Open the File Explorer on your computer and locate the media files on your phone
    4. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
    6. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Acer Liquid Z530 to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the “Notification” bar down on the home screen, and make sure “Media Sync (MTP)” is enabled
    3. On the computer, launch the File Explorer
    4. Locate the media file backups on your computer
    5. Copy the files and transfer them on your phone, preferably in the “Media” folder
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray
    7. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
