    Back Up Application Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
    4. To back up Wi-Fi passwords, settings, and account data to your Google account, enable “Back up my data”
    5. To allow your account to automatically restore data, turn on “Automatic restore”

NOTE: App data backed up using the method above will be automatically restored when you sign in with your Google account for the first time, such as after a factory reset.

Back Up Contacts to an Account:

    1. Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Accounts”
    3. Select the desired account type (preferably Google)
    4. Tap the account you want to use for syncing contacts
    5. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

NOTE: Contacts synced to your account will be automatically restored when you sign in with your account for the first time, such as after a factory reset.

    Back Up Contacts to Storage:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Go to “All Contacts”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Tap “Import / Export” and select to export to storage
    5. Make sure you remember the backup file’s name for future use and tap “OK” to confirm and export

NOTE: To restore contacts from storage, follow the steps above, and select “Import from storage” instead of “Export”.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Lenovo K4 Note to your PC via USB
    2. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media sync (MTP)” is enabled
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media files on your phone and copy them
    5. Paste the media files in the desired backup location on your computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

NOTE: To restore media files from a computer, follow the steps above and then reverse the process and copy the media files backup from the PC to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory.
