    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Under “Personal”, tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up settings, account data, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow your account to restore app data automatically upon reinstallation

NOTE: Data backed up using the method above will also be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google account.

Back Up Contacts to a Google Account:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Accounts” and select “Google”
    3. Select the Google account you want to use for syncing contacts
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is selected and tap “Menu”
    5. Tap “Sync now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google account.

    Back Up Contacts to Storage:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Contacts”
    3. Access “All Contacts”
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
    5. Select to “Export to storage” and tap “OK” to confirm

NOTE: To restore contacts from storage, follow the same steps above and select “Import from storage” instead.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Lava X10 and your computer
    2. Swipe the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
    3. Make sure “Media sync (MTP)” is enabled
    4. Open the File Explorer on the PC and locate the media files on your phone
    5. Copy the desired media files and paste them in the backup location on your computer
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
    7. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB connector

NOTE: To restore media files from a Windows PC, simply follow the steps above and reverse the copy-paste process: copy the files from the PC, and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder.
