    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Swipe to “Personal” and tap “Backup and reset”
    4. Sign in with your Google account in order to back up your app data. If necessary, tap “Backup account” > “Google account” > “Add account”
    5. Follow the on-screen steps to create a new, or sign in with an existing Google account
    6. Enable “Back up my data” and “Backup account”

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Make sure the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
    2. Open the apps drawer
    3. Access “Settings”
    4. Swipe to “Personal” and tap “Backup and reset”
    5. Tap “Backup account” and choose “Google account” or “HTC Account”
    6. To back up your contacts over Wi-Fi daily, tap “Automatic Backup”
    7. To back up your contacts manually, tap “Back up now”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC device to your computer using the USB cable
    2. Make sure the phone is connected as a “disk drive” or “Media device (MTP)”
    3. Open an Explorer window on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media files on your phone and copy them
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the transfer is complete, click the mass storage icon in the system tray and “Safely Remove Hardware”
    7. Eject the storage and disconnect the phone from the USB

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC phone to your Mac via USB
    2. Open the file explorer on the mac and locate the media files on your device
    3. Copy and transfer the files on your Mac
    4. After the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive into the “Trash can / Eject” icon
    5. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB
