    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal
    4. Turn on “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and settings to your Google account
    5. Tap to enable “Automatic Restore” to automatically restore app data the next time you sign in with your account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and an account
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is enabled
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the ZenFone Max to your computer via USB
    2. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the phone storage and copy the media files you want to back up
    5. Paste the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the ZenFone Max to your PC via USB
    2. Make sure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled in the notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media file backups and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    5. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB
