    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Battery saver”
    5. Tap the switch to enable battery saver

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Display”
    3. Tap “Brightness level” and turn off “Adaptive brightness” if necessary
    4. Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
    5. Go back to “Display”
    6. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value, such as “15 seconds”

    Turn Off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot and GPS:

    NOTE: By turning off your phone’s connectivity features when not in use, such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Location” and “Bluetooth” tiles to turn off these features
    3. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    4. Tap “Location” > “Mode”
    5. Select “Battery saving”
    6. Go back to “Settings” and tap “Wireless & networks”
    7. Tap “Mode” > “Tethering & mobile hotspot”
    8. Tap the switch to disable “Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Connectivity:

    NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have access to a wall socket, you can temporarily switch to 2G connectivity to increase battery life. To do this:

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Select “2G” connectivity

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts to sync less data automatically, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select the desired account type
    4. Select the desired account, and uncheck the boxes associated with the sync options you want to turn off

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some of the third party apps on your phone can affect your phone’s battery life even when you don’t use them, because certain apps can still perform regular background processes. Thus, by disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Apps” and access “Downloads”
    4. Select the desired application
    5. Tap “Disable” / “Force Stop” to turn off the app
    6. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
