Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

1. Connect the LG K8 to your computer using the USB cable
2. At the prompt, enable “Media sync (MTP)”, otherwise enable this feature from the notification area
3. On the computer, open the File Explorer
4. Using the Explorer, browse your computer storage and locate the audio files you want to use on your phone
5. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” folders under “Media”
6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Change the General Ringtone:

1. Open the apps drawer
2. Go to “Settings”
3. If necessary, tap “Menu” and switch to “List view”
4. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & notification”
5. Tap “Ringtone”
6. Select the ringtone you wish to use
7. Tap “OK”

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Select the desired contact
3. Tap “Edit” in the upper-right corner (icon shaped like a pencil)
4. Tap “Ringtone” and select the ringtone you wish to use
5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

1. Access the “Settings” menu
2. If necessary, tap “Menu” and switch to “List view”
3. Under “Device”, tap “Sound & notification”
4. Tap “Notification sound”
5. Select the desired notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm
