    NOTE: For instructions on how you can back up data on the LG G5, visit this thread.

    Restore App Data:

    1. On the home screen, drag the “Notification” bar down
    2. Tap the “Settings” icon in the upper-right corner
    3. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
    4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
    5. Locate and select the desired contacts backup file
    6. Tap “Start” to begin the restore process
    7. At the “Restored” pop-up, tap “Done”
    8. Wait for your phone to reboot and complete the restore

    Restore Contacts From an SD Card:

    1. Swipe the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
    4. Scroll to “LG Backup service” and tap “Restore from backup”
    5. Locate and select the SD card backup you wish to restore
    6. Tap “Start”
    7. At the “Restored” pop-up, tap “Done”
    8. Your phone will reboot to complete the restore

    Restore Media Files Using Your Phone:

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “General”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” and scroll to “LG Backup”
    4. Tap “Restore from backup”
    5. Locate and select the media file backup and tap “Start”
    6. At the “Restored completed” pop-up, tap “Restart” and wait for your phone to reboot

    Restore Media Files From a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the LG G5 and computer
    2. At the prompt, tap “Media sync (MTP)”, otherwise ensure the option is enabled in the “Notification” area
    3. Switch to the computer and open the File Explorer
    4. Navigate to the media files backed up on your PC (or the desired “.sbf” backup file)
    5. Copy the file(s) and transfer them on your phone storage
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
