    Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

    1. On the home screen, drag the “notification” bar down
    2. Tap “Settings” in the upper-right corner
    3. Go to the “General” tab and scroll to “Phone management”
    4. Tap “Battery & power saving”
    5. Tap the “Power saver” switch and set it to “ON”
    6. Turn the available battery saver options On or Off, and choose a battery percentage at which the mode should turn on automatically

    Adjust Video Quality in Games:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Go to the “General” tab
    3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
    4. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
    5. Set the “Game optimizer” slider to “Off”

    Disable Smart Settings Unused At Home:

    1. Drag the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
    2. Access the “Settings” menu
    3. Go to the “General” tab
    4. Scroll to “Smart functions” and tap the “Smart settings” slider to “Off”

    Turn Off Connectivity When Unused:

    NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Hotspot when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Access the “Settings” menu
    3. Go to the “Networks” tab
    4. Under “Connectivity” tap “Tethering”
    5. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and disable the option
    6. Go back to “Settings” and tap the switches associated with “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” to turn off the features
    7. Go to the “General” tab
    8. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Location” (GPS)
    9. Tap “Mode” and choose “Battery saving (networks only)”

    Switch to 2G Connectivity:

    NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank and you need to conserve battery life until the next recharge, you can temporarily switch to 2G connectivity.

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Access the “Networks” tab
    3. Tap “More” under “Connectivity”
    4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
    5. Select “GSM only”

    Disable Background Data:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Access the “Network” tab
    4. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
    5. Turn on “Restrict background data”
    6. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Access the “Display” tab
    3. Under “Basic settings”, tap “Brightness”
    4. Drag the “Brightness” slider to the left to decrease luminosity
    5. Tap “Screen timeout”
    6. Select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

    Change App Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts / apps to sync less data or less often, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts & Sync” and turn off “Auto-sync Data”
    4. Under “Accounts”, select an app and change the available sync settings as desired

    Minimize Usage of Third Party Apps:

    NOTE: Some third party applications on your phone can affect battery performance even when they are not in use, due to the fact that certain apps perform regular background processes. Thus, by turning off or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Phone Management”
    4. Tap “Apps” and access the “Downloaded” tab
    5. Tap & hold the desired app
    6. Tap “Force stop” to turn off the app, or “Uninstall” to remove the app from the phone
