    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings
    3. Scroll to “Personal
    4. Tap “Backup and reset” and, if necessary, tap “Backup account” > “Google account” > “Add account
    5. Sign in with the Google account you want to use for backup
    6. Enable “Back up my data” and “Backup account

    Back Up Contacts on a Google or HTC Account:

    1. Ensure the phone is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
    2. Open the apps drawer
    3. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Personal
    4. Tap “Backup and reset” > “Backup account
    5. Select “Google account” or “HTC account
    6. To enable automatic daily backups over Wi-Fi, turn on “Automatic backup
    7. To back up contacts manually, tap “Back up now

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC Desire 628 to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    3. Turn on “Media device (MTP)
    4. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on your phone
    5. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac:

    1. Connect the HTC device to your Mac via USB
    2. When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” or enable the option from the “notification” area
    3. Open the File Finder on the Mac and locate the media files on your phone storage
    4. Copy the files and paste them in the desired backup location on the Mac
    5. Once the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “trash can” to eject it
    6. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
