    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open the “apps” drawer
    2. Go to “Settings” and scroll to “System”
    3. Tap “Battery” and then tap the “Power saving mode” switch to “ON”
    4. Select a battery percentage at which the mode should turn on automatically

    Turn On Power Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “System” and tap “Battery”
    3. Enable “Ultra power saving mode” and tap “Agree”
    4. In addition, you can tap “+” to add more applications to the Ultra power saving mode home screen

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: By disabling Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Connections” and tap the switches associated with the connectivity features you want to disable

    Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

    NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket and battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More connection settings” under “Connections”
    3. Go to “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Network mode” and select “GSM Only”

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Display”
    3. If necessary, turn off “automatic brightness”
    4. Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
    5. To lower timeout duration tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Certain third party applications perform regular background processes even when they are not actively in use. As such, by disabling or removing unused third party apps from the phone, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Applications”
    4. Tap “Application manager”
    5. Swipe to “Downloaded” and select the desired app
    6. Tap “Turn off” or “Disable”, or tap “Uninstall” two times to remove the app from the phone

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Connections” and tap “Data usage”
    3. Tap “more”
    4. Tap “Restrict background data”
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By decreasing sync for your apps / accounts, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Accounts” under “Personal”
    3. Tap the desired account type and select an account
    4. Clear or check the boxes associated with the sync options you want to disable
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now” to confirm
