    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings etc. to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored upon reinstallation or when signing in with your Google backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Select the account you want to sync the contacts with
    5. Check “Contacts” and tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored when signing in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect a USB connection between the Archos 50 Cobalt and computer
    2. Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer storage
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Archos 50 Cobalt and computer
    2. Turn ON “Media Device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer storage and copy them
    5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories they originate from
    6. After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
