    Turn Off Unused Connectivity Features:

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Connections” and tap “More connection settings”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
    4. Enable “GSM only”

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party applications perform regular background processes, and can potentially affect battery life even when not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third party apps, you might improve battery life.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Applications” under “Device”
    3. Tap “Application manager”
    4. Swipe to “Download”
    5. Select the desired app and tap “Force Stop” / “Disable” to turn the app OFF
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

Change Sync Settings to Reduce Sync:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts” and select the desired account
    4. Clear the tick boxes associated with the sync options you want to disable
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Keep the Software Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can include battery life improvements, and as such it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check if new updates are available:

    1. Open “Settings” and scroll to “System”
    2. Tap “About device”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available. If applicable, follow the on-screen steps to download and apply any available updates. (NOTE: The update process will require at least one reboot. Save any unsaved work before proceeding)
