    3. Choose to keep Eco Mode “ON” (always on) or tap “Auto On” and choose a battery percentage
    4. For more options, tap the “Gear” icon in the upper-right corner

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Tap “Display” > “Brightness level”
    4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    5. Tap “Sleep” for timeout options and select a lower value such as “15 seconds”

Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth, and Background Data:

NOTE: By disabling your phone’s connectivity options when they are not in use, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down using two fingers
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Hotspot”, “Bluetooth” and “Location” (GPS) tiles to disable the features
    3. To disable background data, first open “Settings”
    4. Then tap “Data usage” > “Menu” > “Restrict background data”
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can improve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More”
    3. Tap “Cellular networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Select “GSM only”

    Change Settings to Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By changing your apps / accounts settings to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Accounts”
    4. Press “Menu” and clear the “Auto-sync data” option

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Third party applications can perform regular background processes, and thus they can potentially affect battery life even when they are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps from the phone, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Access “Settings” and tap “Apps”
    3. Swipe to “All”
    4. Select the desired app
    5. Tap “Disable” to turn the app OFF or tap “Uninstall” to remove the app from the phone

Keep the OS Up to Date:

NOTE: OS updates can include battery life improvements, and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To verify if new OS updates are available:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Swipe down to, and tap “About phone”
    4. Tap “System updates” > “Check for updates”
    5. If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply it
