    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings” and scroll to “System”
    3. Tap “Battery” and enable “Battery saving mode”
    4. Tap “Start power saving” and select a battery percentage for the mode to enable automatically

Disable Unused Connectivity Features and Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: By turning off the phone’s unused connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Hotspot, you can improve battery life in the long run. In addition, if your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Connections” if necessary
    3. Tap to disable the desired connectivity options
    4. Tap “Tethering & mobile hotspot” and turn the option OFF
    5. To use 2G networks only, access “Connections” > “More connection settings”
    6. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
    7. Turn “GSM only” ON

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Display”
    3. Optionally, enable or disable “Automatic brightness”
    4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    5. Go back to “Display” and tap “Screen timeout”
    6. Select a lower timeout value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Connections” and tap “Data usage”
    3. Tap “More” > “Restrict background data”
    4. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes and can potentially affect battery life even when they are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps from the device, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Applications” > “Application manager”
    4. Access “Downloaded” and select the desired app
    5. Tap “Disable” / “Force stop” to disable the app, or:
    6. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK” to remove the app

    Change Settings to Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By changing your apps’ / accounts’ sync settings to reduce sync, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Clear the check boxes next to the sync options you want to turn off
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: Certain software updates can include battery life improvements and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for OS updates:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “System” and tap “About device”
    3. Follow the on-screen steps to download and apply any available updates
