Sync iPhone Contacts with Google Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the Sony device.

    1. Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
    2. Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
    3. Access the “Info” screen and enable “Sync Contacts With
    4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
    5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
    6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
    7. After the sync is complete, sign in with the same account on the Sony Xperia XA and allow the account to sync contacts with your device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contact in a vCard file.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
    3. Sign in with your iCloud account and select the contacts you want to share
    4. Click “Settings
    5. Go to “Export vCard” and once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
      • Use the Internet browser on the computer to import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
      • Connect the Sony device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it

    Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts via third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts in vCard format over email.

    1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
    2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
    3. Once done, tap “Email
    4. Ensure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
    5. Switch to the Sony device and open the email
    6. Download the vCard email attachment and import it using “Contacts

    Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app (for Android and iOS) that can be used for transferring contacts without a computer. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer data.

    1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
    2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Sony Xperia XA
    3. Launch the app on both smartphones
    4. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
    5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send
    6. Lastly, choose a transfer method and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
