    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings
    3. Scroll to “Personal
    4. Tap “Backup & Reset
    5. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data to your Google account
    6. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts
    3. Select the desired account type and tap the account you want to use for syncing
    4. Tick the “Contacts” check box if necessary
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically upon signing in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Nokia 6 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the desired media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Nokia 6 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer storage
    5. Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder they originate from
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
