    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & Reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
    3. Select the desired account type
    4. Choose an account to change its sync settings
    5. Tick the “Contacts” check box and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Nokia 5 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired media files on the phone storage
    4. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    5. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Nokia 5 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer”/”Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
