    Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: IF your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”

    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts”
    4. Select the desired account

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Third party apps can perform regular background processes which can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. As such, by disabling or removing unused third party apps from your phone, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Apps”
    4. Ensure “All Apps” is selected in the drop-down menu
    5. Select the desired app and tap “Force Stop” to disable it
    6. To remove the app instead, tap “Uninstall”

NOTE: You can also remove an app by dragging its shortcut from the apps drawer and dropping it over the “Uninstall” section at the top.

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: Software updates can include battery life improvements and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available
    5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process (NOTE: The update process may require a reboot)
