    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Preferred networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Select “2G”

    6. For timeout options, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value such as “15 seconds”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing your accounts’ sync settings to reduce sync, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts” and select the desired account
    4. Change the available sync options to reduce sync

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect battery life even when they are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps from the phone, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Apps”
    4. Select “All apps” from the drop-down menu
    5. Select the desired app
    6. To disable the app, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    7. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can include battery life improvements and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available and if applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update. NOTE: the update process will require at least one reboot
