Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

1. Connect the LG Q8 to your computer via USB
2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted on the phone or from the “Notification” area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
4. Locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
5. Copy and transfer the desired audio files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folder(s)
6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

1. Go to “Settings”
2. If necessary, switch to “List view”
3. Scroll to “Device”
4. Tap “Sound” > “Ringtone”
5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

1. Launch the “Essentials” folder
2. Open “Contacts”
3. Tap the desired contact
4. Tap “Edit” > “More” > “Ringtone”
5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm

Change Incoming Email Alert Settings:

1. Launch “Email”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Scroll to “Accounts & Sync”
4. Select the desired email account
5. Under “Notifications” enable “New Emails” and tap “Notification sound”
6. Select the desired notification ringtone and, optionally, enable or disable “Vibrate”

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

1. Launch “Messaging”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Under “Advanced settings”, tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
4. Under “Receive alerts”, select to disable “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and/or “AMBER alerts”
5. Under “Sound and vibrate”, enable or disable “Alert sound” and “Alert vibration”
