Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Lava A44 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” shade
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
    4. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” directories
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Device”
    4. Tap “Sound & Notification”
    5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
    6. Optionally, turn “Also vibrate for calls” On or Off

    Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Tap and hold the desired contact
    3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
    4. Select the ringtone you want to use and tap “OK”

    Change the Notification Alert Sound:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Sound & Notification”
    4. Tap “Default notification ringtone”
    5. Select the desired notification alert sound and tap “OK”
