    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    3. Open “Settings” for additional options
    4. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Display”
    5. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” On or Off
    6. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity options when unused, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen using two fingers
    2. Tap the “Location”, “Bluetooth” and “Wi-Fi” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Location”
    4. Tap “Mode” > “Battery saving”
    5. To disable Hotspot, return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Next tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and disable the feature

    Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

    NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Go to “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Certain third party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect battery life even when not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps form the phone, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Apps” and select “All apps” from the drop-down menu
    4. Select the desired application
    5. To turn the app Off, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    6. To remove the app from the device, tap “Uninstall”

    Check for OS Updates:

    NOTE: OS updates can include battery life improvements and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times. To check for OS updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates” and verify if new update is available for download
    4. If available, follow the on-screen steps to download the update(s). NOTE: the update process will require at least one reboot
