    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your Google account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or signing in with the account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the account you want to use for contact backup
    5. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now” to confirm

    NOTE: The contacts can be restored the next time you sign in with your backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android phone to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    5. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Transfer the files back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and disconnect the device from the USB cord
