    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Tap “Backup & restore”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Access “Accounts”
    4. Select the account you want to use for syncing the contacts
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts to SD Card:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu”
    3. Go to “Settings”
    4. If necessary, select “Contacts to display” > “All contacts”
    5. Tap “Import/Export contacts” > “Export to SD Card”
    6. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Back Up Media Files on the Phone Storage:

    1. Open “My Files” from the “Samsung” folder
    2. Tap “Internal storage”
    3. Go to “Menu” > “Share”
    4. Select the content you want to back up
    5. Tap “Share” and select the desired backup location

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or form the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps below:

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit Samsung Kies
    3. Click “Download for Mac” and install Kies on the computer
    4. Once done, connect the Samsung device to the Mac via USB
    5. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the notification shade
    6. Open Kies on the Mac
    7. Access “Back up / restore” and go to the “Backup” tab
    8. Tick the check boxes associated with “Photos”, “Music” and other file types you want to back up
    9. Click “Backup” to start the process
    10. Once done, eject the phone storage by dragging and dropping the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “Trash can”
    11. You can safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
