    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Scroll to Personal
    3. Tap Backup & reset
    4. Enable Back up my data to back up settings, app data, and Wi-Fi passwords to your account
    5. Enable Automatic restore to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or logging in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Go to Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contacts syncing
    4. Ensure Contacts is checked
    5. Tap Menu > Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable Media device / File Transfer when prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable File Transfer / Media device at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media file backups on the computer
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Media directory
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
