    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Power”
    3. Tap “Power saver” and tick the boxes next to the options you want to enable
    4. When ready, tap the “Power saver” switch to enable the option

    Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Display & Gestures” under “Phone”
    3. Tap “Brightness level” and if necessary, turn “Adaptive brightness “OFF
    4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left side of the screen to decrease luminosity
    5. For more options, go to “Display & Gestures” > “Screen timeout”
    6. Select a lower timeout value

    Disable the Phone’s Connectivity Features When Unused:

    NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS when not actively in use, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to turn the features OFF
    3. For GPS options, scroll to and tap “Location”
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. To turn off Hotspot, return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Tap “Mobile network sharing” and disable “Mobile Hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Mobile data”
    3. Access “Network mode”
    4. Enable “GSM only”

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Certain third party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the phone’s battery performance even when the apps are not actively in use. Thus, by removing or disabling unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone” and tap “Apps”
    3. Access” Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app
    5. Tap “Disable “to turn the app OFF
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall” > “OK” to confirm

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By changing your apps/accounts sync settings to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts & Sync”
    3. Select an application to change its sync settings
    4. For more sync options, select an account type and account

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: OS updates can include improvements to battery life and as such it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone” and tap “About”
    3. Tap “System information” > “Check now”
    4. If new updates are available, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process (NOTE: the update process will require at least one reboot)
