    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Scroll to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Go to “Settings
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you wish to use for contact backup
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on the phone storage
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android device and computer
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
