    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact backup
    4. Ensure the “Contacts” box is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored the next time you sign in with the backup account by syncing the account data, including contacts, with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a Computer:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files backed up on the PC
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the it from the USB
