    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Go to “Mobile networks”
    4. Access “Preferred network type”

    3. Tap “Accounts”
    4. Select an account type and the desired account

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when not in use. Thus you may improve battery life in the long run by disabling or removing unused third party apps from the device.

    1. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
    2. Tap “Apps”
    3. Ensure “All apps” is selected in the drop-down menu
    4. Tap the desired app
    5. To disable the app, tap “Force Stop”
    6. Alternatively, tap “Uninstall” to remove the app from the phone

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can include battery life improvements and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Verify if a new update is available. If applicable, follow the on-screen steps to download and apply the update (NOTE: the process will require at least one reboot)
