    Back Up App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Scroll to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Go to “Settings
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: You can restore contacts by syncing them with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the smartphone and PC
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the computer
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
