    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or the next time you sign in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Go to “All contacts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account to use for contact syncing
    4. Ensure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: The contacts can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    5. After the process ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Sony device and computer
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
