    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically he next time you sign in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Go to “All contacts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Tick the “Contacts” check box
    5. When ready, tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your backup account or by manually syncing them with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    5. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device”
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media file backups on the PC
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folder(s) of origin
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
