    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “System”
    3. Tap “Battery” and enable “Battery saving mode”
    4. Tap “Start power saving” and select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Display” and optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    3. Drag the slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    4. Return to “Display” and tap “Screen timeout”
    5. Select a lower timeout value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Open “Setting”
    2. Scroll to “Connections”
    3. Tap “Data usage” > “More”
    4. Tap “Restrict background data”
    5. Press “OK”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features and Switch to 2G Networks:

    NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not in use to avoid unnecessary network scans. You can also temporarily switch to 2G networks if you run low on battery and you want to conserve energy until the next recharge.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Connections”
    3. Select to disable features like Bluetooth and GPS
    4. Then tap “Tethering & mobile hotspot” to disable hotspot
    5. To switch to 2G networks, go to “Connections” > “More connection settings”
    6. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode” and enable “GSM only”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can minimize the amount of data synced by your accounts to improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select an account and clear the check boxes associated with the sync options you want to disable
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now” to confirm

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps from the device, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device” > “Applications”
    3. Tap “Application manager” and go to “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    5. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Keep the OS Up To Date:

    NOTE: Software updates can include battery life improvements and as such it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “System”
    3. Tap “About device”
    4. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update
