    Thanks, dear, I have been looking for software by which I can easily write my book. Actually I am writing about Sophocles' Antigone which is classic literature written so many years ago.     My Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime phn has a blank and broken screen however it still turns on. I can hear it. I want to transfer txt msgs SMS to my Mac. How do I do that without losing data?

    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Turn on “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be restored automatically upon the next sign in with the backup account

    Back Up Contacts Using a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Open the contacts app
    2. Launch “Contacts”
    3. Tap “More” > “Settings”
    4. To save the contacts from your phone to your Google or Samsung account, tap “move device contacts to”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and tap “Accounts”
    6. Select an account and tap “More” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using the steps above will be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the Samsung or Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Head down to Samsung Smart Switch?
    3. Click “Samsung Smart Switch for PC” and install the app on your computer
    4. Once done, connect the Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime to your computer via USB
    5. At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the Notification area
    6. Open “Smart Switch” on the computer and launch the File Explorer
    7. Use the File Explorer to locate the media files on your phone
    8. Copy the desired files and paste them in your backup location on the computer
    9. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Follow the first 6 steps above
    2. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    3. Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the PC
    4. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the folder they originate from
    5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Head down to Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac”
    4. Install Kies on the Mac and then connect the Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime to the computer via USB
    5. When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable this option from the notification area
    6. On the Mac, launch Kies and go to the “Back up / restore” tab
    7. Click the “Backup” tab and check the boxes associated with “Photo”, “Music”, or other media file types you want to back up
    8. Click “Backup” and after the process is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “trash can”
    9. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Follow the first 5 steps above
    2. Launch Kies on the Mac
    3. Access the “Back up / restore” tab and click “Restore”
    4. Check the tick boxes associated with “Photos”, “Music”, and other types of files you want to restore
    5. Click “Restore” and, if necessary, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
    6. When done, eject the phone by dragging and dropping its virtual drive from the desktop and into the trash can
    7. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
