    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Access “Display” options
    3. Drag the slider towards the left to decrease the screen brightness
    4. Optionally, you can enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not in use, such as Bluetooth, Hotspot, Wi-Fi, and GPS, in order to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Bluetooth” and “Location” (GPS) quick toggles to disable these features
    3. Next open “Settings” for more options
    4. Access “Location” and tap “Mode” > “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Go to “Tethering & Portable hotspot” and disable the features

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Access “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

Change Account Settings to Decrease Sync:

NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to decrease sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect battery performance even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you may improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. Ensure you’re viewing “All apps”
    4. Select the desired application
    5. Tap “Force Stop’ / ‘Disable” to turn the app off, or
    6. Tap “Uninstall” to remove the app

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available, and if applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update (NOTE: the process will require you to reboot the phone at least once)
