    Enable Battery Saver:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    3. Launch “Settings”
    4. Go to “Device” and tap “Display”
    5. Optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    6. For timeout durations, tap “Sleep’

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth, to avoid unnecessary network scan and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, Swipe the Status bar down
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Open “Settings” and go to “Location” for GPS options
    4. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and access “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Disable “Tethering & portable hotspot”

    Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & networks”
    3. Access “Mobile networks”
    4. Go to “Preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform background processes regularly, and this can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. You can improve battery life in the long run by removing or disabling unused third-party apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Apps” and make sure “All aps” is selected in the drop-down menu
    4. Select the desired app
    5. To turn the app off, tap “Force Stop”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can change the sync settings of your accounts to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select he desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for new updates:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll down to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available and if necessary, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update (the update process will require at least one reboot)
