    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Backup & reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts” and select an a account type
    3. Select an account and ensure “Contacts” is checked
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or when you manually sync the account data with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media files on your phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC storage
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” or “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB
