    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Go to Settings
    2. Access Backup & reset
    3. Enable Back up my data to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable Automatic Restore to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch Settings
    2. Go to Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account to use for the backup
    4. Ensure Contacts is checked
    5. Tap Menu > Sync Now

    NOTE: You can restore contacts by syncing them with the phone the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the contacts with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable Media device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC storage
    4. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and the computer
    2. Enable Media device / File Transfer when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Media folder
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
