    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu”
    5. Enable “Battery saver”

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. From the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. For more options, go to “Settings”
    4. Access “Display”
    5. Optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    6. To select a different timeout duration, access “Sleep”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, to improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable these features
    3. Launch “Settings” for additional options
    4. Go to “Location”
    5. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    6. For hotspot options, return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Disable “Tethering & mobile hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Under “Wireless & Networks” tap “More”
    3. Go to “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Change Account Settings to Reduce Sync:

    NOTE: You can decrease the amount of data synced by your apps and accounts to improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some third-party apps can perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. You can disable or remove unused third-party apps to improve battery life.

    1. Access “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app
    5. Tap “Disable” / “Force stop” to disable the app
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: OS updates can include improvements to battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update
