    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Display”
    3. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease the brightness
    4. Optionally you can enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. For timeout settings, tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout option like “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features OFF when not actively in use, such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, in order to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable these features
    3. For more options, first open “Settings”
    4. Then go to “Location” for GPS options
    5. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    6. Return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Go to “Tethering & portable hotspot” and disable the feature

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Go to “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you may potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” if necessary
    4. Select the desired application
    5. Tap “Disable” / “Force Stop” to disable the app
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

Change Account Settings To Reduce Sync:

NOTE: You may improve battery life in the long run by changing your accounts’ settings to reduce the amount of data synced.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to decrease sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Access “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process. Remember that updating the phone will require you to reboot the device at least once
