    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or when you reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the account you want to use for syncing your contacts
    5. Ensure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    6. Then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or by syncing the account data, and contacts, manually with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “media device” / “file transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. On the computer, launch the File Explorer
    4. Navigate to the media backup files on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
