    Back Up App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or reinstalling apps

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Scroll to and go to “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account for contact syncing
    4. Check the “Contacts” tick box and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data, and contacts, with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
    5. Copy and transfer the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. After the transfer completes, you can safely disconnect the device form the USB port
